12 Things I learned in ACC 255

There are alot of things that I learned in this course this summer and now I am going to list 12 things specifically that I learned. 1. How to create and maintain a blog. I had to do it for another one of your classes before but I didn't really get intto it. 2. How to create and maintain a web site. 3. How to add Google AdSense adds to my blog and web site. 4. How manage my time and get everything done in 4 weeks. 5. Ask questions when you need help because it is better to ask and feel stupid than not to ask at all and get it all wrong. 6. How to edit my web site each week and add new Pillar articles. 7. How to work with HTML codes and to use view source to find the HTML code you need to copy and paste your ads into your page. 8. How to write a "How To" Pillar article 9. How to write all the recommended blog posts and pillar articles. 10. How to monetize a website by adding AdSense ads to my articles. 12. How to make an e-book and development plan. This class was very interesting and I know that in the future if I need to make a web site or blog I will be better prepared in doing everythin that I learned this summer.

This week on Drop Dead Diva

Although I am a few days late on this week’s episode I am going to catch you all up now. The show starts out with Jane and her roommate in their apartment talking about her new engagement. Then Jane has to leave to go meet a potential client about an employee from an oil rig. An accident had happened and someone died because of it and on the other hand Kim is being asked to represent the oil company. Parker has just become close with his son and no his mom got a job in Canada and he is devastated. Owen, Jane’s fiancé isn’t answering his phone and has seemed to disappear. On another note, the witness in Jane’s case lied on the stand and now they have no idea what they are going to do. Parker is worried about losing his son and tried to get his mother a new job as an administrative employee in a hospital but she declines because she only want to be a nurse. Then Parker decides to take her to court so that she can’t move to Canada with their son and in return she hires a lawyer who is willing to do anything for her client. This episode is very good and is keeping on my toes and I don’t know what is going to happen. I hope that Owen ends up returning because Jane is going to be devastated if he doesn’t. Jane is digging for dirt for her case and meets a man who is an expert but can’t testify in the case because he had already talked to Kim before the trial was started. They conjured up a plan and it worked and they won their client five million dollars. Jane finds out that Owen lied to her and she has no idea why he did it. What is going to happen? I really hope they don’t get married and that she finally gets with Graycin instead.

Switched at Birth will be starting back September 3rd

I am really excited for this show to come back on because I feel like it has been forever since it was on. The show hasn’t aired since March 20, 2012 so this is probably why is seems forever because it has been almost 4 months since it has been on. It has been so long I might have to read up on some information to remember what happened during the last episode. I do remember that it was prom at Carlton and Emmett told Bay about cheating on her while they were at the away basketball game because he was drunk and didn’t know what he was doing. I don’t know what is going to happen but I really like those two together but we will have to wait and see what happens when the show comes back. During the finale Bay goes to see Angelo at the immigration jail and wants to be in her life, but what will happen with Angelo when the season starts back up. I think that what he did by just leaving in the last season was horrible and they shouldn’t forgive him because it was a bad decision. We will all just have to watch and see what is going happen though. We will see who ends up together in this season and what will happen with Bay and Emmett after the confession. Also, we will see what happens with Daphne and Wilke since he broke the news to her about moving away during the last episode. Tune in on September 3rd and you will be able to find out!

This week on Pretty Little Liars

What will happen this week on Pretty Little Liars? At the beginning of the show something happens to Garret’s mom. And when the cops and everything are figuring out what is happening the girls are outside and Aria spots someone in a black sweatshirt lurking outside. Also, Jenna is putting on a huge birthday party and everyone in town is invited to it. Since she had just gotten her sight back recently the girls are wondering why she decided to come out when a few weeks ago she told them not to tell anyone. The girls are wondering what exactly is going to be happening at this party. Garret is also being released from prison the same night of the party and something doesn’t seem right about this. Hannah doesn’t go to the party because her mom makes her go help her with sorting clothes for the help. Spencer decides to spy on Garret while going to visit his mother at the hospital and as she is leaving runs into the detective on the missing body case. The girls are snooping around and trying to figure out why she is having the party as well as trying to figure out how everything is tied together and what is going to happen tonight. At the party Aria is trying to figure out why Lucas got fired from his job and what exactly he is hiding from everyone. Aria purposely spilled on the photographer’s equipment so that she could go to her studio and get some new memory cards for her and when she comes out Lucas is waiting for her and wants to get inside. He is hiding something and Aria is trying to figure out exactly what it is. Aria takes the negatives with her and find sleeping pills in one of them and at the same time Emily is researching the drug that was in her flask and it happens to be the same exact thing. WHAT!!! Is Lucas A?

A List of Reality Shows

A short list of some great reality shows that I enjoy watching. The Voice- This show is based all of the person’s singing voice. Again there are judges who listen to the artists and turn their chairs around when they think that the artiest is good enough to be on their team and after the teams are assembled each week they perform to stay on the show. This show is all about how well the artist can sing and not their looks. The winner is given a contract at the end of the show. The Challenge- This show is assembled with all past Real World contestants and each week they compete to stay on the show. Each season is different whether they are partners with their exes, enemies, or battle of the sexes it is always interesting. Each season they go through crazy challenges in order to win money. This show is great to watch and you will never be bored. Bachelor and Bachelorette- You have heard all about this season of the show on my blog. This show has a bachelor or bachelorette who is looking for love because in the past they have not been very successful in the love department. They start with 25-30 eligible partners and get to go on adventurous dates all around the world. And in the end they hope to find the love of their life and the person that they want to spend the rest of their life with. Keeping Up With the Kardashians-This is a show that is always entertaining and hilarious. This follows the lives of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, mother Kris, stepdad Bruce, their brother Rob, and two younger sisters Kendall and Kylie. From their careers to their everyday lives we follow the Kardashians with everything that they do and they know how to keep you entertained each week. Tough Love- This is a show that is all about Tough Love and how the host Steve Ward will teach them how to be successful with love. The ladies chosen are put through a long boot camp and each week they learn something new about their relationships and dating. Each week there is someone who does the best and then a person who is in the “Hot Seat” and this season they started something new that if they are in their more than three time they will be kicked off. In the end they will be more successful in dating and might even have a long lasting relationship. A few other shows you could check out: Glass House Top Shot American Pickers Duck Dynasty Coming Home Extreme Makeover “Home Edition” There are many more out there to watch but these are my recommendations.

The Next few Weeks without TV

I am getting ready to move in at the end of the month and my roommates and I decided that we should cancel our cable and internet in order to save a little bit of money. It will be a good thing and will be able to save money but what am I going to do without it! I am going to be really bored that is for certain but I am sure that I will find something to do in my free-time. I can always rent some movies since I work at Family Video I can get them for really cheap. Right now in my free-time I have been working on this project so that is taking up a lot of time as well. Also, my old roommate has me over to her place all the time and I can always watch my shows over there or when I go there I can watch them online. I have many options for myself and I am sure I will be just fine without TV for a few weeks. Although it is making it a lot harder to write this blog because it is all about television and the shows that I am watching but I have been able to work around in and find what I need online. It is a good thing that on my of the show’s websites they have options to watch the full episode online otherwise I would be very lost right now without being able to watch my favorite shows. Review Post of Army Wives

I am now going to review this week’s episode of Army Wives. In my opinion this episode wasn’t one of my most favorite episodes. This week’s episode of Army Wives was about how Claudia Joy was helping a retired vet with some troubles he has while trying to get some medication at the hospital. The computer system is showing that he is now dead, after she figures out what the problem is she is able to help him get it all straightened out. Also, Roxy and Trevor are having a friend stay with them that has been through a lot and his wife just left him. It is certain to say that this show will keep you on your toes but this episode was not as interesting as some in the past. I would rank this episode on a scale of 1-10, I would rate it probably around a 6. I think that it was a good message but it could have had some more depth in it. This show is similar to other drama shows such as Grey’s Anatomy but it isn’t quite like it because it is not all based in a hospital but this is one thing they have in common which in drama. The show coming home can be familiarized with Army Wives as well because it is a show about when the soldiers are coming home from fighting and how their families get to be surprised. This is the same concept on Army Wives because whenever the men are deployed they are always greeted together when they return from their service. This show is probably better for an older crowd as some of the episodes are a little harsh and intimate. I think that this show should also be watched by other army wives as well. This week’s episode was good but I have seen better, if you are interested and found my review to be interesting then check out this great show!

Television Without Pity This website is great for anything that you can think about when it comes to television and all of the greatest shows that are currently on television. This site is very helpful in catching you up with shows that you have missed recently or if you want to see what other people are saying about the show. There are so many different ideas that this site has to offer such as different shows, forums, videos, blogs, photos, extras, TV listing and talk without pity link. This site is informative and interesting because it has everything that you want when it comes to television. At the site you can find reviews of your favorite TV shows, television reviews and recaps of popular shows on TV, TV series, and reality TV shows as well. This is a great site to visit if you just want to find out more information about your shows or if you are looking for a new show to get into you can check out this site to find out about it. My site is similar to this as well, but this site has a lot more shows that are involved because it probably is more than one person who is conducting the site. I don’t have the time to watch every show that is on television, but I do watch a lot of shows that are interesting. This site is great though because you can also add comments to what other people are saying or what the reviews are saying. So check out this site if you want to learn more about everything that you want to know about your favorite TV shows.

The final One on One Dates on the Bachelorette

All I have to say about this week’s episode is wow! There was a lot of intimacy and a lot of kissing during this episode. She has fallen hard for all three of these men and this week she is going to have a hard decision to make. She started off her week with going out with Sean. They had a great date with some meaningful conversation and a moment where he finally lets Emily know that he is in love with her and can’t wait to spend forever with her. Then, she has a date with Jef and at first she was very hesitant because she didn’t know what his family thought of her, but he reassures her that they loved her and that he can’t wait to spend his life with her as well. There date is great and she looks so happy when she is with all three of the men so who will be here next week. The last date was with Arie and we all know how she feels about him, she can’t keep her hands off of him and absolutely loves kissing him. They have a wonderful date and she starts to have some more meaningful conversations with him than just kissing. Even though she said she could do that all day and nothing else. She seems very torn and that she has no idea what she is going to do. During each of her dates she was given a key for the Fantasy Suite, but she rejects each of them because of her daughter. She doesn’t want to portray that kind of behavior and wants to look elegant I everyone’s eyes. She doesn’t even tell Arie about the room because she doesn’t think that she can tell him no, so instead she just keeps it to herself and lets the night play out on its own. She ends up sending Sean home and he is devastated. I can’t wait till the following week when she finally chooses who she will be with the rest of her life. This is going to be a tough decision. They are going to be showing this episode on Sunday instead of Monday so make sure you DVR is set and ready to go and don’t miss the final dates and who she will end up picking.

Bachelor Pad

This is a show that was started because of the show the Bachelor and Bachelorette. This show has all past participant that have been on either of these shows. The show has gone for 2 seasons so far and is going to start with the third season right after the Bachelorette is over, which will be in a few weeks. I am excited because the last season was entertaining. It was full of drama and a lot of relationships and hook-ups. The show has all of the previous Bachelor's and Bachelorette's living in the same house and they compete each week to stay in the house. Then each week a girl and a guy are both voted off until there is a final couple. Dave and Natalie won the first season and received a great amount of cash a well as they started a great relationship. The second season Michael and Holly win the season as well and end up with some great money in their hands. This season was all about Jake, Vienna, and Kasey because there was still some unresolved feelings from their past relationship and that Vienna and Kasey has started dating since they has broken up. This season was full of drama and each week there was something new and crazy happening. I can't wait for this new season in a few weeks because I am sure that it will be full of all kinds of crazy drama. I have seen some information that this new season of the Bachelor Pad will have past members of the show as well as some fans that are crazy about the show. There are a set of twins who are joining the show who are fans and I am sure that they will start some of their own drama on the show. Also, there are some of the cast from the current Bachelorette Emily's show Khalon that everyone hated as well as Chris who just went home last week after hometown dates. This will be a show full of drama and I can't wait for it to start. Only a few more weeks until it starts though so I am super excited!!

The League

The show the League is a hilarious and very entertaining. It is a show that follows six people five men and one of their wives as they participate in a fantasy football league. This group of people will do anything to win the "Shiva" which is the championship for the league. And all of them hate to lose and in return they receive the "Sacko" award and have to go through horrible events after they lose. This show is funny from their league drafts to some crazy parties that they partake in throughout each season. In season 2 they start the draft in Las Vegas, NV and it is a crazy episode when they draft their teams at a pool hotel. Jenny, Kevin's wife, shows up to the draft and wants to be included because she thinks that she is good enough and deserves her own team finally. Another episode that I like which is another draft episode, is when the gang together come up with an idea to tape an adult film at his home. He has no idea that is going on because they make him leave the draft that day. The reason that they do this is because the previous season Andre lost and now has to be put through crazy adventures because of it. The show seems to be a success so far and has signed on for a fourth season of thirteen episodes. This show will start September 14, 2012. I can't wait for this show to start because it is hilarious and this season I am sure that it will be full of many suprise's. You should definitely check out this show if you haven't yet because you will not be disappointed and you will always be laughing when you watch it.

Sneeze Page

In this blog I am going to recap on all of the episodes of the Bachelorette that I have been writing about since I started this blog. I started out by mentioning that The Bachelorette is one of my favorite shows on this summer and that I can’t wait to find out who she is going to choose at the end of her journey. The first week I started posting was the week that they spent in Croatia and Emily was starting to fall for some of the men. She sent Travis home that week as well as Ryan in a shocking one on one date that nobody was thinking that she would send him home. It was the best decision though because now she has some great guys left. The men participated in some games and Chris won an award and some alone time that week as well. The next post was promote another blog post when I talked about how great the show was and that if you aren’t watching it you definitely should be watching it. The following week’s episode had three one on one dates and a group date. During the group date she decided to send Doug home early and then Sean ended up receiving the rose on that date and Chris was really upset about it. He pulled her to the side and wanted to apologize right before the rose ceremony and she ended up keeping him another week so she could meet his family. The last blog was this week’s hometown dates where she was able to meet Chris, Arie, Jef, and Sean’s family. This was going to be a hard choice for her but as I mentioned in my other post she decided to send Chris home and he was devastated. All of the families loved her and opened her into their lives very easily. She will be going on the overnight dates next week and I will blog another to let you know what happens. I hope this blog has been a good recap if you haven’t been able to watch it lately and that now you are all caught up!

Television Shows take breaks on Holidays

Why is it that all television shows always take a day off of playing the shows whenever there is a holiday? I think it is weird since they aren’t actually taping the show that day or anything it doesn’t make sense to me. I guess I understand kind of why they do it but in actuality nobody actually ever watches the show live anymore because of DVR. I think that the reason they might have done it in the past is because they didn’t want their ratings to go down but now of days it doesn’t seem like that would be the reason. On holidays such as the 4th of July nobody is even at home at night so it doesn’t make sense to have shows on the television. It makes the nights of television very boring though because most of the time there isn’t anything on. It is cool though because they show different events for holidays on the primetime television channels such as Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and tonight on TV they showed fireworks in New York which were amazing and almost felt as if I was there. Holidays are always a great time to spend with family and friends and to enjoy your time off and you don’t have to worry about missing your favorite television shows as you are out having a good time. What do you guys think? Is it a good thing to postpone shows on holidays or should they show them still on holidays. It would be a good thing to keep it the way that it is and to stop showing for a week and then come back the following week.

Television Series Marathons on TV

There are so many times that television series have a complete marathon on TV for an entire day. It is a great time to catch up on some of your shows if you haven’t had time to watch them and somehow they may have got deleted off of your DVR. I think that spending all day watching the same show over and over again is a lot of fun and whenever there are marathons on TV I enjoy watching them but that is as much as I can watch TV all day. I like to take the time to watch a marathon all day but I don’t always have enough time to take to watch an all day marathon. A lot of times they have a series marathon right before the season finale of that show. It makes it easy to catch up and figure out what is going on if you have missed a few shows or even if you have forgot what exactly has happened if the show was taking a short break. This week they are having a marathon of all the episodes of Pretty Little Liars from last season and it is good because a few of the episodes from last season I missed so I will be able to catch up and watch parts of the show that I wasn’t able to watch. I think that TV networks doing this are a very good aspect and are beneficial for anyone who is fan of that show. Also, soap net has breakfast in bed marathons every Saturday where you can watch all of your favorite episodes of the hottest shows such as One Tree Hill, Beverly Hill’s 90210 and now they are starting to play Gilmore Girls as well. I enjoy being able to watch my favorite shows on Saturday as well as other days of the week because if I am at home bored I know that I can always watch them.

Shows that have been re-made

There are a few shows that come to mind when I think about this topic of re-makes. First is 90210 and this show has been quite successful in its re-make.  This show has the same concept as the original but is more modernized.  It has the same story line of a brother and sister moving to Los Angeles and having to reestablish a new life and make new friends. In the original show the brother and sister were twins but in the new series Dixon the brother is adopted.  Also, Silver is an original characters sister Kelly Taylor. Kelly has been on some of the episodes during the show but was closer to when the show had first started.  She hasn’t been on the show in a long time.  This show has lasted a lot longer than I thought it would have but I am not sure if it will end up lasting ten years as the original Beverly Hills 90210.

Melrose Place is another show that has been re-made as well. This show busted and didn’t even last an entire season. Even though it had some of the original actors, this show wasn’t as good as the re-make of 90210. Some shows just seem to be better than others and his re-make must not have attracted as many viewers as the producers were hoping for.

Another show that was a re-make to one of my favorite movies is 10 Things I Hate About You.  It had the same story line of the movie but busted when it only lasted a season.  Nothing can compare to Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger and for ABC Family to think that this show was going to be a success is a joke. I didn’t see it lasting very long and I was correct on that assumption. What are some other shows that you know of that have been re-made?

What shows are you currently watching?

I have mentioned this before in one of my blogs but now I am going to talk about all of my favorite shows that I am currently watching at this point during the summer. I am watching a few shows on ABC Family, such as the Secret Life of the American Teenager, Melissa and Joey, Pretty Little Liars and Baby Daddy. Each of these shows is interesting even though the acting sometimes may be a slight mediocre, but it doesn’t keep me from watching them.  Pretty Little Liars is heating up and it will be interesting to see what happens with these girls by the end of this season.
Also, I am watching a few shows on MTV as well such as Teen Mom and Jwow and Snookie’s show, and the new Real World has just started as well. Teen mom is a good show because it is showing young teens that are sexually active what you will expect to happen when you have a child when you are that young. All of them started on 16 and pregnant and we have been able to watch the girls grow into women and others who have crashed and struggled tremendously trying to raise a family and still be able to have a life. This show is full and drama and each week there is something new to keep you interested. The other shows have just started, but if you enjoyed Jersey Shore I am sure that Jwow and Snookie will be just as entertaining for you to watch.
A few other shows that I am watching are Drop Dead Diva, Army Wives, The Kardashian’s, Rookie Blue, and The Bachelorette. There are probably a few that I forgot to mention, but these shows are still keeping me pretty busy during the summer time. A few of them are coming to an end but I will still have enough to fill my addiction.  What shows are you currently watching right now?

Is Television Good For Children?

What does you guys think, is television a good thing for children to be doing so much?
Well I think that children shouldn’t be watching as much television as they do these days. It is bad for their health, eyes and their mind as well. If I were a parent or whenever I become a parent I will not let my children watch a lot of television, even though right now I watch way too many shows to count. Hopefully by the time that I have children I will be out of this phase and will not be watching as much television as I do now. I believe that I get my television watching from my mother because she watches a lot of shows as well.

Children should not be wasting their time watching TV and playing video games because it is going to damage their body and minds. They should be outside playing and getting exercise when the weather permits them to do so. In the summer I think that children should be outside not cooped inside watching TV and playing games. They should play more board games and have more involvement in academics that way they do not end up being like me an addict. Parents should start this early and not get their children hooked on watching television so young. Keep your children active, put them is clubs and sports such as basketball, dance, gymnastics or anything that they are interested in that doesn’t involve electronics. It is beneficial for children to get exercise and to keep their minds active and television is not the answer to doing that.  If your children are watching too much TV it is time to do something about it. Emily's Hometown Dates

The hometown dates started out with Chris taking her home to meet his family. She met his family and of course they had some tough questions for her but she handled it very well and they ended up accepting her into their family.  Also, Chris really enjoyed spending the alone time together and at the end of the date he confessed that he was falling in love and that he is just really happy when they are together.

The next hometown date was with Jef and they started off by going to ride out in the country and then to shoot guns. She wasn’t expecting Jef to have such a country side and she enjoyed learning about his other side. Last week he told her that he had broken up with a girl because his family didn’t accept her. Emily was very nervous about meeting his family even though she wasn’t able to meet his mother and father because they were away doing some charity work. His brother took her aside and asked some questions and was then accepting about their relationship. Also, her sisters ended up accepting her as well and welcomed her into their family. She is going to have a tough decision after this week. Jef confesses his love as well and how he is ready to be a father and can’t wait to meet Ricky and for them to start their lives together.

Arie and Emily head to the racetrack and he takes her on a ride in his Indy car. She just can’t wait for him to get out of the car to give him a kiss. She is crazy about him but Arie is worried about what his parents are going to say and is making her more nervous than she was. His mother is very skeptical because she had watched when she was on the Bachelor, but she reassures his mother that she started asking the right questions and that this time around it is going to work for her. She tells her that Arie has fallen for her and that she really wants them to be together. He is so sure that Emily will choose him and he wants to be with her forever.

The last hometown is with Sean and they start their day off by walking his dogs. She is nervous to meet his family because she thinks that his family is just perfect and that she isn’t going to live up to their standards. He has a secret to tell her and it is that he still lives at home and she is playing it off that she is ok but in reality she is terrified. He shows her his room and it is a disaster, but it all ended up being a joke and she was relieved. Of course his family loved her just as much as all of the other families and all of them want her to be a part of their life. WOW! I have no idea what is going to happen and who is going to go home this week. In the end Chris is sent home and is devastated by the news and just wants answers as to why their relationship ended because he has fallen completely in love with her in such a short time. Next week we is overnight dates, then men tell all and in three weeks we will find out who Emily will choose to be with forever.

Steve Ward's Tough Love

I love this show because I have never really been very lucky in the love department. I don’t know exactly what it is that makes my relationships never last, but this show can help me figure out maybe some of the things that I am doing wrong. It might because I am too nice or I just let the guy that I am dating do whatever he wants and don’t quite stand up for myself all the time, but whatever it is I am eventually going to figure it out and become successful in the love department.

This show is different than most relationship and dating shows because the host Steve Ward will not put up with the women’s crap and tells them how it is. Also, his mother is a great help to him in helping set the girls up with men that are good for them. I know that I am guilty of going for the wrong guy as well but that is what this show is about to find the right guy for them and that will treat them right.  If these women can handle Steve’s Tough Love then they will be able to survive boot camp and live great lives with a wonderful relationship. The reason that most of these women are successful is because Steve knows what he is doing and doesn’t mess around with these women.

Each week they go through different challenges to help them be more successful with their relationship, as well as they are set up with me who Steve thinks is a perfect match for them. If these women listen to him he knows that they will find true love in their journey on this show. I have always wanted to go on this show but now I am in a long committed relationship so let’s hope that this one lasts long and that we end up being together forever.

Reality Television...is it real?

Reality television is suppose to be real, but I think that a lot of it staged by the producers to make better television.  There are a lot of reality shows that are full of drama and part it because of the cast who are on the show and how they interact together. I am sure a majority of the shows are more scripted than we think because it is what the network wants not what is actually happening.  Real World is a reality show that I feel is kind of real and part what the producers want to happen to make good television.  It just seems as though there is always drama on this show even at the beginning when the cast members have just met each other.  I find it weird that this seems to happen so sudden, so it makes me think that this show isn’t exactly all real. I think that alcohol plays a role in some of the drama but I am sure that the producers also tell them to do certain things.  But it is the producers in charge who probably supply the alcohol that makes the show even more exciting than it already is. The title of the show is a bit misleading and the cast members need to start being more real.

Also, let’s talk about the show the Real Housewives. I have really only ever been interested in the Orange County segment but I have watched some of the others as well.  The OC to me is my favorite because no matter what it is always entertaining.  Each year there is a member that leaves or a new one that joins the show and no matter what there is always some kind of confrontation. I think that it is strange that Tamara and Gretchen are now really good friends and now everyone hates Alexis.  Tamara and Gretchen used to hate even being in the same room together. That is why to me it doesn’t seem so real because one season they hate each other and the next they are best friends.  This is bizarre to me but what exactly do you guys think? Another Older Show that MTV has been airing: Laguna Beach

What can I say about this show? Well let’s start off talking about the love triangle between Stephen, LC, and Kristin. Stephen just goes between the two of them like it is nothing, one minute it is Kristin and the next LC it is hard to keep up with who he is dating this week. I think that Stephen and LC should have made it work though, I felt as if they were a better fit together. Although, Kristin and Stephen make a more entertaining show with their fighting and making up every other day.

f you have been missing this show and want to get caught up you can visit the MTV website and watch all your favorite episodes, or you can set up your DVR and watch them every day. I have recently started to watch it again, but I will not be able to stay caught up because we will be cancelling our television next week. I will just have to keep you all updated by using the internet to watch all my favorite shows. I do not know what I am going to do though I will be lost without my television.

Season one ends with the seniors all graduating and going on to bigger things, but LC decides that after a semester away she doesn’t like school and decided to come back home. This ruins any chance that she ever had with Stephen because he is still in San Francisco and she is at home all alone and bored. On her birthday weekend in season two Stephen, Dieter, LC and LC’s friend go to Mexico and LC and Stephen spend some quality time together alone. This show makes me feel really old because it was aired in 2004, wow that was a long time ago. Whenever I visited Orange County when I was younger I would always try to find some of the places that they were at on TV and I thought it was awesome to be there. This was a great show and I was sad when it ended after only 2 seasons.

A New Show This Year: Duck Dynasty

The show Duck Dynasty is hilarious.  This show is about the Robertson’s the family of Duck Commander who invented the duck call. It consists of showing the family living their everyday lives. You wouldn’t think that it would be that funny, but with how old fashioned Phil and Si are they definitely make the show very entertaining.  Also, the two brothers Willie and Jase are now in charge of running the business because their father Phil is retired. Willie is the CEO and Jase is in charge of making all the duck calls. Even though Jase always says that he wants more responsibility, every time that Willie gives it to him he messes everything up. Phil and Si are always trying to teach the grandchildren lessons and making them less yuppy.

The family goes through different challenges every episode, from talking to the children’s classes, taking a huge order to another city, making a cooking DVD, going frog and squirrel hunting, fighting off alligators, as well as having a fishing challenge and much more this show never seems to amaze me. It makes me laugh every week and I am really excited to find out that the Robertson’s have decided to sign on for another season of 26 episodes. Check out this article that I found about the Robertson Family  renewing their television series for about season. Get excited everyone it is time to watch some more craziness of this entertaining family. I know I am I definitely can’t wait for what the new season will have to offer! You need to start watching this show everyone you will not be disappointed.

History Channel: Top Shot

Top Shot is a show all about shooting and is not usually something that I would watch. I started watching it because my boyfriend did and I actually enjoy it a lot. It is all about competition so that is something that I am passionate about. I think that competition is what life is all about and if you don’t compete for something it makes life kind of boring. The show starts on individual and everyone shoots to get onto teams, and when the teams are split up they are blue and red. Each week they compete and the team that loses has to send two people in to be sent home that week. This past season the blue team started off bad and was losing a lot of people, but then that battled back and ending up being pretty close.

Also, this was the first time in history that a woman made it to the individual challenge part when they all then wear green shirts. She was a tough competitor every week and really showed everyone that she deserved to be on the show.  A woman has never won the competition and usually there is only one on each team which doesn’t seem fair there should be just as many men and woman in my eyes. Each week though the marksmen go through different challenges and compete to be the best on Top Shot. History Channel is a great channel and I enjoy watching other shows such as Top Gear, American Pickers, Storage Wars, Pawn Stars and a few more to name. I watch all different kinds of television as you can tell and I guess that is why I am most likely an addict.

Coming Home

This is another newer show that is on Lifetime Network. This show literally makes me want to cry every time that I watch it because it is just so sad to watch all these families missing their loved ones so much. This show kind of strikes me a little bit more right now than it usually does, because right now my boyfriend is gone for two months training in South Dakota. I know it is not close to seven months or a year but it is definitely hard not to talk to him every day as I was before he left. I know that this blog right now has nothing to really do with being addicted to television, but I am sure that anyone reading this blog could probably relate or will relate to at sometime in their lives.  I am trying to not think about not being able to talk to him or see him but it just doesn’t quite work that well. I miss him a lot, just as if any of these people on the show are feeling every time they are not able to talk to their special loved ones. This is a reality show that doesn’t seem as if any of it is staged or made up because these are real people who have true feelings. I think that this show is amazing and just shows how much the world feels about their true heroes in the United States Military. If you do not cry at least during one episode you absolutely do not have a heart.

The show Greek that was On ABC Family they decided to cancel..

The show Greek was on television for 4 seasons, and it was a show that I really enjoyed.  It was all about the Greek life at the college that these students all attended. It was a love triangle between Cappie, Casey, and Evan. The show starts off as Casey and Evan being a couple and then throughout the show she goes back and forth between the two guys. I always wanted her to be with Cappie all along.  The show not only was about their love lives, but was about their life on the Greek circuit of sororities and fraternities.  It was a great show and I was sad when they decided to end it with its fourth and final season.  Ashley and Casey were best friends and did everything together including living together and running the sorority. Rusty and his friend Calvin lived together at the beginning of the show they decided to both join fraternities but they both chose separate frats so their friendship was tested many times.  I think that maybe the producers just didn’t have anything else to write about, but there were some things that could have ended differently. The show ended with Cappie and Casey being together as well as Rebecca and Evan. Also, Calvin decided to change his major to accounting and Ashleigh and Rusty start dating. Casey and Rusty siblings so before they start their relationship, they get her blessing. Casey quits law school at CRU and moves to Washington, DC with Cappie after he finally graduated from college. He decides to pass the presidency of the KT’s to Rusty and he is thrilled. It would have been nice to know what else would happen to the rest of them, but all shows come to an end I suppose.

An Old but Goody- Beverly Hills 90210

I love the show Beverly Hills 90210. I didn’t start watching when it first started or anything since I was really young, but when I got older I definitely got really into the show. This show lasted ten years and it was a great show. Last year in my house we recorded every episode on Soap Net and we were so addicted to watching it that we had a huge amount of them on our DVR at all times. I would like to watch at least 2 episodes a day, but sometimes I wouldn’t have time and would find myself watching about 5 or 6 of them at a time. I felt as if I couldn’t miss an episode and if an episode didn’t record for some reason I would be very upset about it. If you have never watched the show before I would recommend watching it, because it is full of drama and all kinds of twisted love stories. 

 They even came out with the new 90210, although it is a good show nothing compares to the original television show.  You can visit the Soap Net site and learn all different kinds of information about the original show and to stay up to date with all that the site has to offer. You can even take some different quizzes about the stars of 90210. Go ahead and test your knowledge and take the quiz about Beverly Hills 90210. You will have to sign up to the site to take the quiz but go ahead and figure out how much of a fan of the show you are!

Analyze a Top Blog

There were a few blogs that I found to be interesting while I was researching some other television addict blogs. The blog that I found to be the most interesting and informative is Check Out Meghan's Blog. Although she might not be an expert or anything on the subject, her blog is all about the different shows that I am interested in as well. She has been writing her blog since September of 2010 so I feel as though she has found her rhythm and really knows what she is talking about. Also, she write about some of the same show that I like such as Lying Game, Secret Life of the American Teenager, Pretty Little Liars, Desperate Housewives, Switched at Birth, and many more. She hasn’t been into her blog as much lately but I think that her information is interesting.  I like that she is honest and really talking about things that are important to her. I have found some information on here that may even help me write some more stuff on my blog. I am interested in everything that television has to offer so instead of talking about shows I will try to find some reviews of shows as well. I will try to keep you all updated as much as I can, so please stay tuned everyone. I like writing about television since it is something that I am really interested and passionate about. I will try to keep this blog as interesting as I can, but I am sure that there will be times when you might not agree to what I am staying. Just read and be interested everyone.

Promote Another Blog: This Week's Bachelorette

In my blog today I would like to talk about a previous post from last week about the Bachelorette. And to tell you all that this is a show you definitely need to check out!! As I mentioned last week in my blog, I am still not to certain on who Emily will be picking. I think that of the six guys that are left it will be interesting to see who is going to go home this week. John has be a slow starter from the beginning but it will be interesting to see if this week he will try to make some movement to show her that he really wants to be there with her.
Also, I discussed the Bachelorette in one of my very first posts about some of my favorite summer shows, this show has me on the edge of my seat every week and this week is no exception. I had no idea what she was even thinking and what exactly she was going to do. If you have never watched this show and are into reality shows you should definitely check this show out, there is no doubt that you would be disappointed.
Arie, John, and Jef all got to go out on one on one dates this week. All three of their dates were awesome and both Jef and Arie confessed that they have fallen completely in love with her and that they were so excited about having her meet their family. It was no doubt about it that both of them were going to be going on till next week. John on the other hand I wasn’t so sure about, but they did have an amazing date together and he felt really good about it.
Doug was sent home on the group date and Sean received the rose and he was definitely going to be having Emily come home and meet his family. Chris was upset all week about everything and with a last attempt at the rose ceremony he wanted to talk to Emily and clarify a few things, he confessed his love and was able to receive that final rose. Next week is hometown dates and Arie, Jef, Sean, and Chris are all going on, I can’t wait to see what will happen? I definitely think that Sean and Arie will be final two but I guess again we will just have to wait and see what Emily has decided.

This Week’s Army Wives Episode

As I mentioned before Army Wives is one of my favorite summer shows.  They started back after a few weeks of a break and I just have to say that I am so happy that Claudia Joy lived.  The previews made it seem as though she wasn’t going to make it through the surgery, but she just flat-lined for about 2 minutes. The surgeons were able to revive her and they got a pulse, but showing that made me very scared that they were going to lose her.  General Holden and Lieutenant Sherwood decided to surprise their wives with a 5 day getaway to the beach since they just got home from their recoveries.  They both decided that they needed to have a nice vacation away from everything.

Hector wants his wife Gloria to quit the bar because he doesn’t like that there are men hitting on her all the time.  A guy that the women ran into on the beach ends up being crazy. He comes into the house with a gun and ties up the women.  Claudia Joy pretends to have an insulin shock and convinces the guy to get the insulin out of the refrigerator and then to untie them so that she can take her shot so she can be better. In the meantime they knock him down to the ground and Denise gets the gun from the guy, he pulls out a knife and she shoots him about 3 or 4 times.  These ladies are always going through something crazy, but they always seemed to get through it.  The previews for next week are making it seem as if the two of them are just not able to move on from this crazy time, but hopefully with time they will be able to.

 Also, Roxie has some complications with the pregnancy but she ends up being healthy and they release her to go home. She is just told that she needs to start taking it easy because she doesn’t want anything bad to happen with her pregnancy. They show Hector in bed with another women as Gloria is calling him on the phone wanting to work things out. What will happen to this couple??

A New Show: Melissa and Joey

Last summer the show started and it is hilarious. The duo started by starring in a movie called “My Fake Fiance” where they became an epic duo and starting working well together.  The show started last summer with Mel Burke on the city council and Joey losing his job. Mel decides to hire him as his full-time nanny and he moves into her basement as well as her niece and nephew.  At the end of last season it seemed as if Melissa and Joey were going to finally get together but it didn’t end up happening. I think that they would be a good couple and that they just have the perfect chemistry when it comes to their relationship. Every time that either of them is dating someone it just never seems to work out. I think that eventually they are going to get together.

A recent episode was showing that Mel was trying to get some alone time so she would go to a hotel and spend the evening there relaxing with a bubble bath and drinking some wine. He noticed on her bank statement that she was spending this extra money each week and thought that she was having an affair with some guy. The jealous Joey decides to show up to the hotel and busts to find out that she is in the room all alone. I think that his sign of jealousy really showed what he is really feeling. This show is funny and I can’t wait to see if they end up together.

Who Will Emily Choose?

This week Emily starts off by taking Travis on a one on one date in Croatia.  He is starting to fall for Emily and he is scared because it has been about 2 years since he has felt this way.  Six weeks into the show and he is ready to take their relationship to the next level and to get out of the friends zone.  Emily is feeling the same way and their romantic date will explore if they have any feeling more than just being friends, and at the end of the date she doesn’t give him the rose. 

The group date consists of the men going to the theatre to see the movie Brave and then they have to dress up in kilts and compete in the Highland games.  Chris lost the games but he received the Bravery award and got to spend some alone time with Emily. But who will get the rose on the group date? First off Sean and Arie spend some alone time together and she is starting to fall hard for both of them.  Arie and Emily share an intimate kiss during their alone time. Arie is definitely one of my favorite guys as of right now.  Chris and Emily are starting to build their relationship and he receives the rose at the end of the date. 

Ryan gets to go on the other one on one date. Seemed as if the date was going great but there is a shocking twist when Emily decides to send him home.  The other guys are thrilled when they learn that he went home.  I really did like Ryan but some of the things that he had said just rubbed Emily the wrong way and she thought that sending him home was the best decision.  Arie sneaks away to spend some extra alone time with Emily and ends up receiving a rose at his very own rose ceremony, it might not have counted but he knew he was going to be staying till the next week!!

There is a big twist at the end and Emily has no idea what to do about her decision so she decides to keep both of them for another week. What will be in store for next week’s episode of the Bachelorette???

The One Where Ross and Rachel... You Know

When Joey and Chandler purchase a TV and tow recliners and don’t move from them for days. Richard and Monica start dating as well as Ross and Rachel. I love these two together, but their date in interrupted when Ross gets paged to the museum.  They end up making the best of it and spend the night at the museum together.

The One With The Embryos

Pheobe is implanted with embryos to have a baby for his brother and his new wife but they can only afford to do it once so they are hoping that it works the first time.  Also, Monica and Rachel bet Joey and Chandler that they know them better than Joey and Chandler know Monica and Rachel.  Ross comes up with the questions and they go through a competition.  The final bet is their apartment, and the girls end up losing their apartment to the guys.

The One With the Fake Party

Emily is about to leave to go back to England and Rachel throws an impromptu party for her when she leaves to get an excuse to spend time with Joshua the guys from work that she has a crush on.  She spends the night trying to impress him and even dresses up in her old cheerleading uniform. She wants an excuse to kiss him so she suggests that they play spin the bottle, but in the middle Phoebe feels the baby kicking and everyone is distracted that the game in interrupted.


The One With Ross's Wedding part 1 and 2

Ross’s wedding in England to Emily and Phoebe can’t go because of being pregnant, but Rachel decides to stay back in New York to take care of her. But she starts thinking about Ross and that she is still in love with him. She decides to fly to the wedding immediately, but then thinks that telling him would not be the right thing to do. Meanwhile Monica is feeling lonely and decides that she want to sleep with Joey, but to her dismay Chandler is in the room and they end up sleeping together… At the ceremony Ross says Rachel’s name instead of Emily’s at the altar and delays the wedding.

The One In Vegas part 1 and 2

The gang goes to Las Vegas for a weekend but Rachel and Ross both have to work so they come separately. They start making jokes with each other and while she is sleeping on the plane he draws a mustache on her face. She has no idea until they get to the casino and when she discovers it her and Ross stay in the room the whole night and drink until she draws on him and they leave the room. Meanwhile Chandler and Monica are fighting and then with a lucky streak at the craps table they decide to go get married because of all of the signs. Well as they are walking out Ross and Rachel are walking out married. They do not remember anything but they definitely did get married. Then Chandler and Monica decide that it is just not the right time but when they get back they decide to move in with each other.

The One With The Proposal part 1 and 2

Everyone knows that Chandler is deciding to propose to Monica but the plan gets messed up when they run into Richard at the restaurant. He then decides to convince her that marriage is the furthest thing from his mind, but they confuses her when Richard comes to see her and says that he is still in love with her. This talk about marriage encourages Rachel and Phoebe to get backups in line, and Ross and Rachel are going to be as well as Joey and Chandler.  Well in the end Chandler proposes to her and Rachel and Ross also kiss. Monica is upset and thinks that she is trying to take her spotlight.


The One After "I Do"

Someone is pregnant at the wedding, but who is it? Everyone thinks it is Monica but really it is Rachel who is pregnant. Ross gets stuck at the kids table while he was trying to get a seat next to a pretty woman Mona. He tries to impress her by dancing with the young girls all night and having them stand on his feet. He does make an impression on her and they start talking. Rachel takes another pregnancy test and Pheobe tells her that it is negative at first, but really it is positive. She wanted to get Rachel’s real reaction about if she wanted the baby or not.

The One With Rachel's Going Away Party

Rachel takes a job in Paris and Monica and Chandler are preparing to move out of the city. Rachel says her individual goodbyes to everyone but Ross. She just realizes that she is going to miss him too much. There goodbye ends with a passionate kiss with the two of them. Also, Erica who is the mother of the child that Monica and Chandler are adopting goes into labor.


The Last One part 1 and 2

Everyone says there last goodbye to Rachel. Ross and Rachel spend the night together and she decides that it was the perfect way to say goodbye. She leaves but meanwhile Ross realizes that he loves her and wants to be with her. Pheobe and Ross get to the airport as soon as they can but they end up being at the wrong one. He shows up to the correct airport and confesses his love but he decides to leave anyway. By the time that he gets back home Rachel shows up at the door wanting to be with him. And Erica gives birth to twins.

How Much TV is too Much?

I think that I may have a problem with the amount of different shows that I watch. I don’t think that I can even name all of the shows that were on my DVR over the last year. To name a few are: One Tree Hill, 90210, Gossip Girls, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Melissa and Joey, Secret Life of the American Teenager, Real Housewives of Orange County, Bachelor, Bachelorette, Rookie Blue, Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, The Lying Game, Baby Daddy, Tough Love New Orleans, Modern Family, Teen Mom, Top Shot, Sons of Anarchy and a few more.

I think that liking this many shows makes it hard to stay on top of them, but thank goodness for DVR. I would be lost without it that is for certain. I think that my addiction is a little much, but with the breaks that they have for the shows makes it seem as if there isn’t as much at a time.  During the school year going full time and working almost full time it made it very difficult to keep up with all my shows, but I eventually got all caught up. It is a good thing because my television is going to be cancelled in a week or so and I will be without it for about 3 weeks. I don’t know what I am going to do but I am sure that I will be able to survive it. Well I just hope that I will be able to survive the few weeks without, but thank goodness that I will be able to use the internet and be able to be caught up and inform you all of my information.

Some of my favorite shows in the Summer

There are a lot of television shows that end when summer begins, but there are other shows that are just for the summer. And thank goodness because I would be lost without some television shows to watch. Right now a few of my favorites are:


"Army Wives"

This show is drama times 100 and that is why I love it so much. I started watching this show from the beginning with my mom. I think the reason why I started was because at the time my boyfriend was in the army and I guess I felt like I understood some of the things that they were going through as I was going through some at the same time. Each year there is either somebody cheating on someone, new relationships, new family members, or even people dying. The season is on a short break right now and I can't wait for the new episode on Sunday night. The previews are showing David talking to his biological dad behind his parents back, Trevor worried about Roxie because she is now pregnant with twins, and what is going to happen to Claudia Joy during her surgery??


"Bachelorette"

Emily is a journey to find the man she will spend the rest of her life with. She has gone on some extravagant dates so far and is starting to make some really good connections with the guys. I personally like Sean and Arie and I am hoping that they will be making it close to the end. She is one lucky girl to be dating all of these guys, but she will definitely have a hard decision in the end on who to pick. Who do you guys think she is going to pick?? We will have to wait until the end to find out...


"Tough Love: New Orleans"

Steve Ward is the host of the show and he is teaching these women exactly what tough love is, they are put through a boot camp of several weeks and different challenges each week. It is entertaining to watch week by week and see how each of them is improving in making their relationships better. The season finale is coming up soon and I am sure there will be a lot of drama going on, and who is going to stay together and who is going to be moving on alone? We will just have to watch and find out what is going to happen.

This week's episode of Secret Life of the American Teenager

The week’s episode was interesting, from Ricky and Amy eloping to Ben’s fainting after he found out the big news, and as with every episode everybody else knowing before they were even home.  I couldn’t believe that they finally decided to get married, because Amy seemed to be kind of unsure about if she wanted to get married even though she was begging him last season. She is just a typical teenager can’t make her mind up about anything. But the two of them decided to go off and get married and only her father George knew about the arrangement. Amy’s dad was all for the two of them getting married, because he wants his grandson to grow up with his mother as well as his father as one big happy family.

Another crazy moment was at the end when Ben was in the hospital and his dad showed up, he was trying to find out more information about what exactly happened in the school the night it burnt down. He was honest with his dad and told him exactly what happened and that him and his girlfriend were inside the lab and lit a burner and never turned it off. What is going to happen to Ben? Is he going to be in a lot of trouble about what happened or is it going to be blamed on somebody else. Well we will just have to find out next week on the new episode. 

Also, I can’t wait to see what happens between Amy and Ben because from the fainting after finding out that she got married, obviously he is not over the relationship that they had to together.  We will all just have to tune in next week to find out what happens….

Television Addiction

Having a television addiction is almost like any other addiction that a person could have. It could be similar to a food addiction or even being addicted to drugs or alcohol. Although being addicted to television is not as harmful for the body, it could definitely be harmful on the eyes. I think that watching too much television or even being on the computer for too long could severely damage your eyes in the future. I spend a lot of time in front of the television as well as the computer because of school work or other personal reasons. Watching so much television can probably be more harmful to your eyes and body than you might actually think.

I don't think I am completely addicted to watching television, but I am well on my way. I enjoy consuming my day with some television, although some days I get to watch more television than other days.  Soon I am going to be moving into a new place with my sister and she doesn’t have television so we have decided that when I move in we will be signing up. I think that I would be lost if I couldn’t watch my television shows on a regular basis, but at least in the world today we are able to watch almost anything online.  Such as the website hulu, this is very helpful when you are looking for full episodes of a television show that you might have missed. A television addiction can probably be maintained if you are able to balance it with you social life as well.

Grey’s Anatomy Season Finale…

There were so many shows this spring that ended in such a crazy way for the summer break.  The finale that screams out to me the most would be Grey’s Anatomy.  I could not even believe that this plane crash just came out of nowhere and that Lexie died so suddenly at the beginning of the show.  Also, that Mark, Derek, and Arizona were all seriously injured in the plane crash as well. I was not expecting this to happen, and the fact that at the end of the show they were all still out in the middle of nowhere stranded has me feeling very worried about what is to come in the premiere of season 9. I am excited to see what everyone will be doing when the season starts and I hate that I have to wait until the fall to find out.  I am really interested if everyone is going to leave and go to different hospitals still, especially since I feel that Derek won’t even be able to do surgery anymore after he had to break his own hand, and ouch that had to hurt really bad.  It was very sad though when Cristina and Meredith had that last match and was trying to light a fire, and then instantly it went out. It makes me very eager to find out what is going to happen to everyone. I am trying to be optimistic and let’s just hope that nobody else is going to leave the show.  Well I guess that we will all have to wait until all of our television shows come back in the fall. 

So sad to say goodbye to One Tree Hill after 9 seasons..

First and foremost I am one of the biggest One Tree Hill Fans of all time. I have been watching this show since it started 9 years ago. Like I said before, I sometimes feel as if I am living in the life of the show, and One Tree Hill is no exception.  I would feel as if their lives were somewhat like my own, because the show started when I was in high school and so were they.  It felt as if I had grown up with them as the seasons went on.  9 seasons is a long time for a show and I am so glad that they decided to extend it this long. It seemed as though at the end they started to run out of ideas, but the final season was probably one of my favorite seasons.  They had so much drama and excitement from Brooke’s crazy stalker to Nathan getting kidnapped. The producers definitely kept us on our toes for this ninth and final season.  This is probably one of my all time favorite shows, but I am sure that from time to time I will find myself watching old re-runs of this show.  The show ended with a short season of only thirteen episodes, but let me tell you it was definitely worth it.  I think that they could have pulled out one of season because I was definitely sad to have this show be over forever, but I am sure with everything else that I watch I will be able to keep myself occupied.

Let me start off with how crazy I am about television

I first want to start off with the fact that I am addicted to television and I am starting this blog because of a class but I am also very interested in everything that has to deal with hit television shows.  I probably watch between 15-25 shows and who knows, I might even watch more than that.  I think that being interested in watching so many television shows at times may decrease my interests in other things such as reading or other hobbies, but I really enjoy watching these shows.  I think that TV is a good escape when my own life isn’t going quite as I had pictured it to go, such as watching the bachelor or bachelorette no don’t we all wish that we could have such extravagant and outrageous dates all the time. I know that it could never actually happen to me but just being able to watch them and live in their lives is good enough for me.  Being so involved in watching so many television shows can sometimes make you feel as if you are escaping you own life and able to live someone else’s life. Television is the perfect getaway when you want to shut yourself off from the rest of the world.  I find myself talking about television shows just as much as my own life at times, it sounds crazy but I can definitely say that I am addicted with all that television has to offer. There are some shows that I have been watching since the beginning and some that I have just now started to watch, but I can say this if enjoy the show it will definitely be put on my recording list just so I don’t miss it with the busy life that I have.
